Local businesses are the backbone of our community and the economy. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, they account for 64% of all new jobs created and 99.7% of all companies.
These mainstays of our community are under constant attack by large multi-national corporations with their deep pockets and huge advertising budgets. When they drive out local businesses, the results are lower wages and money flowing
out of our communities and into overflowing corporate coffers – making their shareholders happy at the expense of our local towns and businesses.
The Local Business and Consumer Cooperative™ was started to level the playing field by giving small locally-based businesses access to successful and affordable marketing programs to people in their hometowns that want to hear from them.
